It's been few years since I came to Chennai for work and now it's like my second home. I have heard many people complain this place to be too hot but I just want to break this myth. Its not the hottest neither the coldest. I love the optimum temperature and comfortable weather which I experienced being here. The only sad part was that I always failed to flaunt furry jackets, trench coats, baggy pullovers and many more winter outwear which my counterparts at places seeing a huge temperature drop were able to style. It was a challenge but I pulled together some winter outfits that's fashionable and appropriate for places like Chennai. Without any further delay let me take you trough some of the looks I created in which you can look good everyday this winters.
I pulled out from closet the tulle body con skirt which I bought myself a year back. The fun fact is I always failed to style it. This time it was an Eureka moment when I dressed in this skirt as a tube dress and choose an infinity scarf which I styled in two different ways. The first look I created is a halter neck dress and second one is an off-shoulder dress. Accessorize your outfit with minimal jewelry or just a luxury watch. You will love to wear a neck warmer on t-shirt and denims or on any formal outfits. There are many ways to style a neck warmer. If you want to see more of it please comment below.
Bringing freshness to winter outfit the knit arm warmer is trendsetting. Here I created a super stylish look with my t-shirt converted to a wrap tops. I paired it with a high-rise straight trousers in wine red and a fair isle arm warmer. Similar to my last look I wore a simple pearl pendant necklace to go with the whole look. You can also team up arm warmer with your basics, dungaree or a t-shirt dress.
The leopard print is a huge fashion trend and is definitely found in any fashionista's winter closet. What I chose for Chennai winters is this fluffy leopard print earmuff. This is one thing which you can match with most of your go-to outfits be it a skater dress, mom jeans & a yellow crop tops or leatherette black skirt & white chiffon shirt.
Color block is the other loved pattern of the season. Also the trending fall colors are black, grey, red. I chose this cozy fringe hem scarf which is perfect for your casual days during winters here. I styled this outwear in 2 ways with my white lacy dress. The first one is just by layering it over the dress and the other way is by tying belt around scarf for a completely different look which I would call as a whole new dress. You will never go wrong with this scarf on while wearing a white t-shirt, denim shorts and knee high boots.
This is a casual chic cap addition to my winter wardrobe and a special one too. I had picked this from shopping haul at Hanoi,Vietnam. Dress up your easy weekends with either a wine red satin wrap dress or turtle neck white bodysuit & rusty carrot pants. Do not miss to put your furry cap on.
White has been my darling color all winters and I chose an over-sized loose knit sweater which would keep me enough warm during Chennai winters and the catchy thing is that it has a deep V-cut back. I paired it with a bottle green satin pleated skirt. You must tryout wearing this sweater on your black leatherette leggings and get your fashion game strong.
